Winter Game Fest, January, 2015, After Action Report
- Attendance - By all accounts, the Winter Game Fest was a big success with attendees, who told me they
loved the facility and location. We had a careful count of 120 people at 1pm Saturday, so
we probably peaked at 135 at 4pm, when all but a couple of tables were full in the space
rented. Sunday was about 60% of Saturday. We probably had 200 distinct gamers over the
weekend.
- Photos! - Here are the photos we have collected so far. If you took any, please share.
- Vendors - Both vendors told me were very pleased and eager to attend GCOM's future
events. Their donations helped with rental and added to GCOM's gaming library. Thanks!
- Scheduled Open Gaming - Game organizers Glenn, Perianne, Zennlizard, and Laurie
led scheduled demos and scheduled games of Five Tribes, Railways of the World, Machi Koro,
Diplomacy, and Go. Our thanks go out to Helen for producing a printable we could use for this and future events.
- Bring & Buy - Bring & Buy was very popular, with 461 lots for sale, plus boxes
of $1 an item gaming items. Gross sales were $1902. Big thanks to volunteers who
helped with the B&B. Here are the final results.
- Math Trade - Eric Skolowsky conducted another successful math trade. There
were 178 items offered by 22 traders with 20 items successfully trading.
- Donations - Donations by attendees provided over $100 towards con expenses.
- Games Library - Games Libraries from GCOM, Congress of Gamers, and John
Goon were very popular with attendees. None got lost! Here are the recorded library play numbers.
