COAs for Office97 came in two types.
The first editions had MS's first edition COA, with interlocking, in-line broken circle cuts (to prevent removal), raised printing on Microsoft logo, temperature sensitive inks in a row of small squares at the top of the COA and a very faint "Microsoft" printed in white on the COA white space.
Later editions used the second edition COA, with "Microsoft" microprinting, a blue temperature sensitive ink oval which fades to show "MICROSOFT" when rubbed, and flying Windows logo cuts.
